Events

Information Sessions - Information Sessions provide an opportunity for employers to meet with interested students and educate them about the company and/or industry. Information Sessions take place weekly throughout the term and provide an effective way to inform students about available positions, the requirements of openings, and career paths available. Recruit and network with College of Business students by hosting an Information Session in Austin Hall.

Professional Development Workshops - These workshops assist students with professional development throughout the academic year. They feature résumé writing, cover letters, job search strategy, LinkedIn, personal branding and interviewing skills. These workshops are a great way to enhance a company's  brand and connect with students who might be a good fit for your company, while aiding their career search. If you have expertise in a particular area of professional development, please consider hosting a workshop on OSU's campus in Austin Hall.

Career Fairs and Hospitality Suite - Career fairs are held each term at the CH2M HILL Alumni Center. These events allow direct access to hundreds of students throughout campus, and the opportunity to network with other companies. After the fairs, the Career Success Center partners with OSU Athletics to host a hospitality suite where you will have an additional opportunity to network with  business undergraduates, MBA students and student-athletes in a more informal atmosphere. The event is similar to a cocktail reception where employers and students can network one-on-one.

Mock Interviews - Mock interviews provide students an opportunity to practice interviewing techniques with real companies, and have a professional review of their résumé. Employers that participate use mock interviews to recruit students, as they receive the résumés of all students who participate. Mock interviews are held once per term in the academic year.

Business Roundtable (BRT) (Portland) - The Business Roundtable meets quarterly in the Portland area for networking and a presentation by Oregon State alumni about business topics. Members of the BRT include successful business men and women who mentor participating business students. These events may also be held in Seattle and Corvallis.

BIS Meet the Firms Night (Winter Term) - This event is perfect for employers looking to recruit BIS majors. Employers engage students in conversations about internship and job opportunities.

Finance Speed Dating (Fall Term) - Employers that attend Finance Speed Dating have the opportunity to educate students entering the finance program about the variety of career paths and opportunities available in the field of finance, and to recruit students for job and internship opportunities.

Accounting Meet the Firms (Fall Term) - Public accounting firms, private industry companies and government agencies that recruit accounting majors have the opportunity to meet our accountancy students. It is held during the second week of fall term.

Travel Friday – Employers host students on-site for a deeper look into company culture, employment opportunities, and networking with key members of the company.
