Michele Swift is an Assistant Professor in Management and received her Ph.D. from the University of Colorado at Boulder. In her dissertation she studied the motivation to engage in knowledge sharing for which she received a grant from the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM) and the HR Division of the Academy of Management. Prior to obtaining her Ph.D. Michele spent approximately ten years in various HR generalist positions where she was responsible for staffing, benefits, payroll, workers' compensation, and employee relations and she spent five years as a HR systems consultant where she developed and implemented HR self-service applications. She is also an active member of the Academy of Management, INFORMS, and SHRM.
