Next week, the Dean’s Executive Series Lecture features a keynote address from Tim Leatherman, OSU alum, chairman of the board, and co-founder of Leatherman Tools. He’ll discuss the story of Leatherman, creators of all-in-one tools. Tim’s keynote will kickoff the Shark Tank competition, hosted here by the Entrepreneurs Club and InnovationX.

We have a number of informational updates about fall 2017 course offerings fully outlined on the blog pages.

  • ACCOUNTING: Students admitted summer 2017 forward have a new curriculum.
  • BIS:  New scheduling guides for 2017-18 are coming soon.
  • DESIGN: Course recommendations for students interested in Apparel Design, Interior Design, Merchandising Management and pre-design.
  • ENTREPRENEURSHIP:  BA 464, Venture Management will be offered FAll term 2017.
  • FINANCE: FIN 440, Fixed Income Securities, is on the fall schedule, previously taught as FIN 499.
  • MANAGEMENT: Students admitted summer 2017 forward have an experiential opportunity requirement.
  • MARKETING: Students should take MRKT 390 fall term rather than BA 390, a new class not included in prior program plans.
  • PRE-BUSINESS: Required class BA 253 will soon be be replaced by BA 281, 3 credits plus a separate 1 credit section, i.e. BA 282, BA 283 or BA 284

Health Professions Career Fair

Admissions representatives from 70 health professions schools in Oregon and across the country are attending the fair and eager to meet OSU students.  The fair will be open from 10:00am to 2:00pm in the MU Ballroom.  Students from all majors are welcome at this free event.
