The College of Business at Oregon State University offers a Ph.D. in Business Administration with options in Accounting and Strategy, Entrepreneurship and Innovation.

1. Accounting Option Objectives 

The primary objective of the accounting option is to train doctoral students for careers as professors at high-quality research-oriented universities. This training includes providing them with a program of course work that will prepare them to conduct quality accounting research, involving them in faculty-sponsored research projects as co-investigators and co-authors, and assimilating them into all aspects of the academic accounting profession (e.g., teaching, research, and service).

 

2. Strategy, Entrepreneurship and Innovation Option Objectives

The primary objective of the strategy, entrepreneurship and innovation option is to train doctoral students for careers as professors at high-quality research-oriented universities.  This training includes providing them with a program of course work that will prepare them to conduct quality research in strategy & entrepreneurship as well as management and marketing, involving them in faculty-sponsored research projects as co-investigators and co-authors, and assimilating them into all aspects of academics related to innovation and commercialization (e.g., teaching, research, and service).
