The 2013-2014 Dean’s Leadership and Professional Achievement Award is a $1,000 award opportunity for students who demonstrate leadership potential and support the College’s efforts to promote a professional culture.
Purpose:
- Acknowledge and recognize student leaders
- Encourage student engagement and participation
- Develop student leadership skills
Eligibility:
- Sophomore to senior standing at the time of application
- Be compliant with all COB progression standards
- Have no conduct issues with OSU
- Will be a full-time student during the 2013-2014 academic year (12 credit hours per term, not including Summer term)
- Demonstrate leadership and professional achievement in the classroom and extra-curricular activities. Examples include:
- Leadership position in student clubs or organizations or through study abroad opportunities
- Campus/community service projects or volunteer work
- Work on a research project with a faculty member outside of course or program requirements
- Exceptional leadership as a student intern or student worker, as well as in the classroom
