Dr. Linda Lee Larson left Oregon State with two education degrees in 1970 and has now come out of retirement to teach accounting for Oregon State on a part-time basis. After leaving Corvallis, she went on to earn two accounting degrees from Washington State University and worked in accounting for Battelle Northwest in Richland, Wash., for a number of years before moving to the Seattle area. There she worked for several major corporations as an internal auditor, including Seafirst Bank (now Bank of America), where she worked as a systems auditor. In Seattle she earned an MBA from Seattle University prior to heading east to earn a DBA in accounting from Cleveland State University. Along the way she earned CPA, CIA, CISA and CFE credentials.
Dr. Larson started teaching accounting in the Cleveland area during her doctoral program. From 1997 through 2014 she held tenure-track positions at several universities, including Texas A&M, Ball State University and Central Washington University, where she was tenured. During these years she had 24 articles published, including two in 2015. She has taught a variety of undergraduate and graduate accounting courses.
