Family Business 360 Breakfast Event - Portland

The boards of directors of most family businesses are dominated by family members and often do not include many outside board members. Yet, the perspective and expertise of outside board members has the potential of helping a family business grow and evolve. This program will explore the benefits of adding outside board members to a family business enterprise. How do you identify the right board members? How do you tap into their expertise? How do you adjust to new board dynamics with the addition of an outsider? We will answer those questions and offer an example of an Oregon-based family-owned company that brought in outside board members to assist with plotting a course of growth and development.

Featuring family business guest Ron Dodge, CEO of Hood River Distillers.
