Course Overview

The Marketing Management program prepares learners for the American Marketing Association (AMA) Professional Certified Marketer (PCM®) in Marketing Management credential. This 16-hour, online course provides comprehensive preparation for the 150-question PCM® Marketing Management exam, which is included as part of the program.

Learners explore core marketing management topics such as marketing strategy and planning, sustainable and global marketing, and the use of marketing insights to guide decision-making. The program examines consumer behavior and market segmentation, helping learners understand how purchasing decisions are formed and how markets are effectively targeted. Participants also study product and service offerings, pricing strategies and objectives, and methods for delivering and communicating value to customers.


Through interactive games, vocabulary flashcards, and a full-length practice exam, learners reinforce key concepts while building confidence in applying marketing principles across real-world business contexts. By the end of the program, participants gain a broad, practical understanding of marketing management and are prepared to demonstrate their knowledge through the AMA PCM® Marketing Management certification.

Course Format

This 16-hour self-paced course offers a dynamic and engaging learning experience, combining interactive elements such as games, flashcards, video content, real-world case studies, and curated readings. Participants have the flexibility to progress at their own pace, while interactive games and quizzes reinforce key concepts and track progress. Participants have 90 days of access per course, with progress tracked through interactive elements.  Flashcards, expert-led videos, real-world case studies, and carefully curated readings deepen knowledge.

In her role, Melanie connects top industry professionals with OSU’s expertise, driving innovation and collaboration. She oversees noncredit professional development programs, business development, and corporate education as part of OSU’s Business Engagement Center. This center serves as the gateway for organizations to access exceptional talent and resources, fostering impactful partnerships that fuel success and transformation.
