Finance

Shan He is a member of the Oregon State University College of Business faculty in the finance area. Her areas of research interest are corporate finance, entrepreneurial finance, corporate governance and institutional investors. Her research papers have been presented at several international conferences such as the American Finance Association Meetings, the European Finance Association Meetings, the Financial Intermediation Research Society meetings, and the Financial Management Association Annual Meetings. She has also won several awards such as the Kauffman Fellowship for Outstanding Doctoral Research in Entrepreneurial Finance, and the Boston Census Research Data Center Research Fellowship at the Center for Economic Studies and National Bureau of Economic Research. He's research papers have been published in journals such as the Journal of Financial Economics, Review of Financial Studies, the Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis, and the Journal of Corporate Finance.

Prior to joining OSU, He was a tenured associate professor and the holder of the Bank One/Chuck McCoy Endowed Professorship at Louisiana State University. She has taught doctoral seminars in corporate finance and advanced corporate finance, multinational financial management for Master of Science in Finance students and MBAs, and undergraduate advanced corporate finance case studies. She has served as doctoral dissertation committee members and taken an advising role for several doctoral students specializing in finance and accounting studies. She has also mentored many doctoral students in teaching.

Prof. He received a Ph.D. in finance from Boston College, an MS in finance from the University of Utah, and a BA in economics from Shanghai University of Finance and Economics.
