In this online session we will cover graduate program options in the College of Business, including the MBA, master's, and graduate certificates programs. Code, Courage, and Cyber Defense: Navigating an Evolving Cyber Landscape
Join us for Code, Courage, and Cyber Defense: Navigating Cybersecurity as a Woman in Tech, featuring Shawnee Delaney, a former DIA officer and the founder and CEO of Vaillance Group. Shawnee will present on her background and career highlights as a cybersecurity operative, as well as her experience as a woman in tech.
Her presentation serves as the keynote for this year’s National Cybersecurity Awareness Month, and is co-sponsored by the Office of the Provost, College of Business, College of Engineering, University Information & Technology, OSU Women in IT, and NorthWest Academic Computing Consortium.
In-person registration is limted to 350.
About Shawnee:
Shawnee Delaney spent nearly a decade with the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) as a decorated Clandestine Services Officer conducting Human Intelligence operations all over the world. She served four combat zone tours in Iraq and Afghanistan as a Case Officer and Detachment Chief and served as a Supervisory Branch Chief in Europe. After leaving the DIA, Shawnee supported the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) in the protection of U.S. critical infrastructure and industrial control systems for the Industrial Control Systems Cyber Emergency Response Team. Shawnee has built Insider Threat programs for major Fortune 500 companies. She holds an M.A. in International Policy Studies with a Specialization in Counter-Terrorism and Counter-Proliferation, an M.S. in Cyber Security and is currently in process of getting her third Masters in Industrial-Organizational Psychology. She has written articles or been cited on Insider Threat in publications such as the Cipher Brief, USA Today, Fox Business, Yahoo Finance, SPYSCAPE, Business Insider, the Hill, Associated Press, Benzinga, and the Financial Times. Today Shawnee serves as Founder and CEO of Vaillance Group, and she is a member of the SPYEX collection of secret intelligence elites.
