Elevate your education

At the Oregon State University College of Business, we elevate business education to support success for all learners, everywhere.

We are committed to providing the best business education — accessibly, inclusively and flexibly — the way our students and industry partners demand business education now. That is why we developed undergraduate business certificates and microcredentials for those looking for business expertise from a highly-acclaimed institution of learning, but with the precise skills, condensed timelines and educational quality that learners everywhere now seek. Welcome to a new path to business education and excellence!

Affordable and Functional

The Certificate

Anyone in the community, including current OSU students, can enroll and earn a business certificate.

The certificate appears on your transcript, but more importantly, you are putting your ownership on a concise, focused skill set that will help you in the workplace. Certificates, about 28 to 30 credits or six to eight classes, are an affordable and functional way to advance your business knowledge and career skills. Some of the credits also can apply to our requirements for our four-year degree programs.

Explore Certificates

The undergraduate certificate in organizational leadership provides an evidence-based exploration of organizational behavior, negotiations, team management, job design, evaluation and motivation of employees, human resource management, conflict management, employee stress and work-life balance.

You’ll gain strategic communication and leadership skills, and learn how to effectively find, motivate and lead talented employees. By preparing you to run dynamic projects and manage employees in both goods-producing and service enterprises, this certificate will equip you with the knowledge you need for a career full of advancement opportunities.

This 28-credit program is designed for early-career professionals who want to directly contribute to organizational initiatives and processes. Through evidence-based instruction, you'll gain the skills to lead others and positively impact team and organizational performance.
