Earning or Transferring Credits

OSU Bacc Core, business and design core, degree programs, blueprint ... all explained.

Understanding the credits you need

What's in your bachelor's degree

You’ll earn your B.A./B.S. diploma from the OSU College of Business after completing 180 credits of approved degree coursework, generally achieving a grade of C- or C.

To help you work through the various requirements, you'll meet with advising, generally, once per term. To keep you on track. To help you sort through the different requirements. To answer questions. And help you get your degree on time.

To get acquainted with earning the credits for our degree requirements, please visit academic planning, and FAQ for some answers to common questions.

Transferring your credits

If you're interested in transferring to OSU, we are here to help.

A good place to start are the transfer tables below. They will help you understand how Oregon community college and other institutions' courses match up with specific Oregon State University College of Business degree requirements.

These transfer credit tables can also help you select appropriate courses at your community college, but it is always best to connect with one of our transfer advisors in the College of Business to ensure you are on the most effective and efficient academic pathway.

Get in touch with one of our advisors with questions, or request an unofficial transcript review.

Important things to know:

  • Upper-division credits must come from an AACSB-accredited business school. If your school is not AACSB accredited, then upper-division business credits will be elective credits and not satisfy degree requirements.
  • You must earn a C- or higher in all business requirements taken at a transfer institution.
  • Meet with an advisor to determine how your transfer courses will apply to your major here.

If you are interested in taking courses jointly at Oregon's community colleges, consider applying to the OSU Degree Partnership Program to simplify the transfer of credits.
