Celebrating Siena Wong: An honors accountancy graduate who helped power the college

For nearly three years, Siena Wong has been one of the essential hands behind the College of Business’s most meaningful moments. Wong joined the College of Business events team early in her undergraduate career, stepping into a role that demanded precision, adaptability and a calm presence under pressure. What began as a student job quickly became a defining part of her OSU story.

Over the years, she contributed countless hours to planning, coordinating and executing events that brought students, faculty, alumni and industry partners together.

Her team puts it simply: “We honestly could not do this without her.” That sentiment reflects not only Wong's reliability but the trust she earned through consistency and professionalism.

Graduating with her honors degree in accountancy, Wong leaves Oregon State University with academic distinction, deep professional experience and a legacy of service that has shaped the college community.

As she steps into her next chapter, Wong is carrying forward the confidence, discipline and leadership she developed at OSU. This fall, she will move to Seattle to begin her career as an Audit Associate at RSM — a role that reflects both her academic excellence and her commitment to purposeful, people‑centered work.

The upper‑division courses I once feared were manageable, and it became easier to network with professionals, grow connections and balance working with strong course loads and friends to end up graduating with the highest honors.

Her OSU experience was marked by steady growth — academically, professionally, and personally. She remembers the moment she realized just how far she’d come: “The moments I realized I had grown during my time at OSU were when the upper‑division courses I once feared were manageable, when it became easier to network with professionals, grow connections and balance working with strong course loads and friends to end up graduating with the highest honors.”

That balance — between rigorous academics, meaningful work, and community involvement — became one of Wong's greatest strengths. Her ability to juggle responsibilities with grace made her indispensable on the events team, where she became known for anticipating needs, solving problems before they surfaced and ensuring every event reflected the College’s values of excellence and hospitality.

While Siena’s academic and professional accomplishments are impressive, she is quick to credit the communities that supported her. “Joining Greek life has allowed me to gain confidence, community, and lifelong friends,” Wong said. “I had multiple opportunities to be involved in leadership and give back to the community that has been there for me through every challenge and has celebrated my every success.”

This sense of belonging shaped her OSU experience. Wong understood the importance of creating spaces where people feel welcomed, supported and connected.

And this translated to her contributions to College of Business events. “Working on events team has shaped my experience at Oregon State in such a positive way,” she said. “Being able to be involved in the college I am a part of, gain connections with faculty and staff, and gain exposure to a positive, kind and hardworking work environment is something I will never take for granted.”

Wong's work behind the scenes helped make connections and growth possible for thousands of students and guests to the College of Business, helping us all build community, celebrate achievements and create memorable experiences.
