PharmD/MBA
The Pharm.D./MBA joint degree is designed to enhance the business skills, knowledge and practical experience of students in the Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) program. The Pharm.D./MBA program is intended for individuals who seek careers that may lead to managerial and executive positions in the pharmaceutical industry and in health care delivery systems that provide pharmacy services to patients.
Admissions
- Students must be fully admitted into the Pharm.D. program at OSU and have earned a four-year undergraduate degree with a minimum GPA of 3.0 in the last 90 quarter credits received.
- International students must achieve a minimum score of 575 on the paper based version, a minimum score of 91 total and sub scores of at least 22 on the internet based version (iBT), or a minimum score of 7 on the IELTS, or a minimum score of 130 on the Duolingo.
- The GMAT/GRE requirement is waived for students admitted to the OSU Pharm.D. degree program
Admission to the MBA program as part of the Pharm.D./MBA double degree program presumes concurrent enrollment in good standing within both degree programs. Any student who withdraws from the Pharm.D. program may be required to meet the full admission requirements of the MBA program (that is, completion of GMAT/GRE, submission of letters of reference, etc.) and will need to complete the requirements of an established MBA track (i.e. Business Analytics, Marketing, Org Leadership, etc.).
Current OSU Pharm.D. students interested in the Pharm.D./MBA double degree program should contact the College of Pharmacy advisor via the dual degree interest form.
