Course Overview

The Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certificate is a hands-on training program designed to help professionals improve processes, reduce inefficiencies, and solve real business challenges. Participants will work on actual organizational projects while learning the Lean Six Sigma DMAIC framework (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control) through live sessions, online learning, coaching, and leadership feedback.

The program focuses on practical problem-solving, operational improvement, customer experience, and data-driven decision-making. Participants will also explore how AI tools can support process analysis, project planning, and operational insights. By the end of the program, participants will present a completed improvement project and earn an OSU Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certificate.

Course Format

This 8-week, instructor-led course follows a structured week-to-week cadence that combines flexible, asynchronous learning with live instructor coaching and project support.

Each Monday, weekly course materials, project assignments, and discussion boards will open for students to complete throughout the week. Students are encouraged to review the instructional materials before the live instructor session each Thursday from 9:00–11:00 AM PT.

Thursday sessions will reinforce key learning objectives through live instruction, practical application, project support, and coaching on the week’s assignments. Weekly assignments and discussion activities are due by Sunday at 11:59 PM.

All live sessions will be recorded and made available to students, providing additional flexibility and an opportunity to revisit course concepts and reinforce learning.

This course is part of the Lean Six Sigma Green Belt program.
