Faculty Resources

Welcome Faculty

InnovationX supports all OSU students in learning entrepreneurial skills: problem-solving, communications, design thinking, and business idea development skills that will apply to everything they do - whether they start their own business or work for someone else.

Here’s how you come in: We understand that many students with entrepreneurial potential don't yet recognize themselves as entrepreneurs – and we know that many entrepreneurially-minded students don’t yet know about the resources available at OSU. We need your help to reach those students! Options for faculty include:

Want to help us discover students with entrepreneurial potential? Nominate them here for Launch Academy, our enhanced course that supports students in developing their business ideas.

Want to provide your students with an overview of available resources? Invite our amazing peer ambassador team to give a brief presentation to your class or student group.

Want to send your students to an entrepreneurship activity? Our co-curricular events (speakers, workshops, and more) and the drop-in Business Idea Development Studio are suitable for required or extra credit opportunities – and we are equipped to verify student attendance. Faculty are welcome to require students to attend an activity of their choice at some point during the term or to incentivize all students to join us for a specific activity. Contact Michelle for more information.

Not sure what makes the most sense? Send students to the new InnovationX Business Idea Development Studio – it's a great starting point for students. The studio is staffed with peer consultants who are excited about helping students figure out what their next steps might be.

Also of note for faculty are our other resources.

For first-year students: Launch Pad is our signature experience for first-year students in all majors. In Launch Pad, students will develop entrepreneurial skills through a variety of hands-on, collaborative experiences culminating in the development of their own business.

Minoring in Entrepreneurship: Students of all majors are invited to add an entrepreneurship minor to their program of study.

DAMLab Makerspace: open only to Launch Pad and Launch Academy students and the residents of Weatherford, Buxton, and Poling halls, the DAMLab Makerspace is a magnet for inventive, creative students.
