Financial Analytics

Financial analytics is an emerging field in finance that focuses on advanced quantitative side of financial analysis.

Coursework includes traditional financial topics such as investments, portfolio analysis, derivatives and financial modeling, but with an additional focus on data and business analytics. Analytics skills such as data collection, analysis, visualization and communication are at the forefront of the field of finance and translate into excellence in forecasting, modeling, reporting and optimization.

Oregon State Investment Group

The Oregon State Investment Group is a student-led asset management organization that provides portfolio management on behalf of Oregon State University Foundation. MBA students and undergraduate students work together to provide high-caliber sector analysis and portfolio management.

Founded in 2007, OSIG members perform in-depth equity research, fundamental valuation techniques and portfolio management. OSIG assets under management, exceeding $4 million, are dispersed between three distinct portfolios: the Large-Cap Portfolio, the D.A. Davidson Competition Portfolio, and the Global Portfolio.
