The Speaker

We are pleased to have Kimberly Jones as our featured speaker for this year’s Susan J. McGregor Memorial Lecture. Kim joined PwC more than 25 years ago as an assurance (audit) associate. Since her transition to the human capital team, she has served in many roles ranging from recruiter to diversity leader to global project leader. She now leads the People Experience and Talent Center of Expertise. In this role, Kim is focused on enhancing the day-to-day people experience across the PwC US/Mexico firm for its 50,000 partners and employees. She leads various firmwide initiatives in areas including flexibility, diversity and inclusion, and talent strategy. In addition to these programs, Kim leads the firm’s Market People Leaders in their ongoing work as credentialed coaches and in support of PwC's overall people priorities in geographic markets. Kim has been featured in media outlets such as Fortune, DiversityInc., CNBC, HR Daily Advisor and recognized as one of the Black Women Leading the Way in Corporate America by Fairygodboss, the largest career community for women.

Kim earned Bachelor and Master of Accountancy degrees from the University of Oklahoma and is licensed as a Senior Professional in Human Resources and a Society of Human Resource Management Certified Professional.

When away from the office, Kim is "mom" to her college-junior daughter, Aliya, who is a budding movie critic and overall talented writer. They both adore their alpha female Black German Shepherd, Scout.

The Moderator

Erika McCalpine, M.A., founded and leads the Diversity Equity and Inclusion Lab at OSU-Cascades, where she also teaches courses in human resources, business ethics, leadership and entrepreneurship and leads the business administration program. She is a recognized advocate for advancing social equity and inclusion. In 2019 she received the OSU Frances Dancy Hooks Award for promoting diversity. She received the OSU-Cascades Diversity Award in 2019. McCalpine is the co-founder of Love Your Neighbor, which encourages community members to appreciate fellow residents from diverse backgrounds. McCalpine earned degrees in management with specialties in human resources and organizational behavior from University of Alabama. She has also earned certification in diversity and inclusion from Cornell University.

The Host

Audrey Iffert-Saleem, Ed.D., is the founder and director of the Oregon State University Center for Advancing Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in Business and InnovationX, the OSU Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship. Her work has focused on building a diverse and inclusive entrepreneurship community. Iffert-Saleem also is a core member of the team that propelled OSU to reach gender parity in its MBA student enrollment beginning in fall 2018. Iffert-Saleem has delivered talks and workshops on why and how to build inclusive workplaces and business programs. She holds an Ed.D. in Higher Education Leadership and an M.A. in Human Communication from Arizona State University.

About Susan J. McGregor

The Susan J. McGregor Memorial Lecture on Women's Leadership is made possible through the estate of Susan J. McGregor in keeping with her interest in support of the advancement of women.

Susan J. McGregor, College of Business '85, passed away in 2014 after a valiant battle with brain cancer. Her career included stints at the Internal Revenue Service and Coopers and Lybrand before she joined Microsoft, where she rose through the ranks of the tax department to become one of the company's first female general managers in 2007. She was an Alpha Phi, an avid Beaver believer and a generous friend to the OSU Foundation. The College of Business is honored to be able to continue her legacy by hosting this endowed women’s leadership lecture in her honor every year.
