We're in WUE!

Out-of-State Discounted Tuition Opportunity

Oregon State University is part of the Western Undergraduate Exchange (WUE) network, a partnership that helps students in 18 U.S. states and territories with paying for college. WUE allows us to offer a tuition discount — the WUE scholarship — to out-of-state students. WUE limits non-resident tuition as a College of Business student to no more than 150% of in-state tuition rates; this translates to nearly $15,000 of savings per year. Eligible students are considered automatically for this competitive scholarship based on a holistic review of their application for admission.

Top 5 Tips for Paying for College

1. Don't Assume

Every college/department/major has its own way of doing things; always find out what is true for your situation, and don’t be afraid to ask questions!

2. Plan Ahead

style="color:#fff;"Create an academic plan with the support of an advisor; use that information to assess your costs, create a paying for college plan, and a budget.

3. Apply Early, Every Year

Applications for financial aid (FAFSA/ORSAA) are available every year in October for the following academic year. For maximum consideration, complete it annually as soon as it's available (if eligible).

4. Borrow Wisely

Always accept scholarships and grants (free money!). If you plan to borrow, utilize federal student loans first and only borrow what you need.

5. Know Your Resources

Find resources that can help you save money and provide additional financial support (textbook lending programs, scholarships, student jobs, etc.)
