Merchandising management and apparel design: the double degree

A very compelling feature of the College of Business is the crossover point with design and business, which builds an arsenal of career choices for students interested in excelling at creative careers in fashion, retail and merchandising. The merchandising management program frequently pairs with apparel design, and the majority of students in apparel design are double majors.

Because merchandising and apparel design are so intermingled, it’s been an influencing factor that brings students to the college. We have integrated solid foundational business content into these majors, and we’re attractive to students for this reason. This in turn appeals to the very strong retail corporations in the region who come to us to find their workforce.
