The College of Business at Oregon State University offers a Ph.D. in Business Administration with an option in strategy, entrepreneurship and innovation.

Program highlights:

  • Research-active faculty who serve as mentors and provide research collaboration opportunities
  • College-wide doctoral seminar on research and professional development for first-year doctoral students
  • College-wide research methods seminar
  • Structured program of study requirements with at least four doctoral seminars and high-quality instruction in research methods
  • First- and second-year research paper requirements to promote doctoral student research publication activity
  • College-wide teaching effectiveness seminars and minimum teaching requirements to expose doctoral students to teaching best practices and provide them with a portfolio of teaching experience 
  • Graduate assistantships which provide tuition waivers and monthly stipends

Strategy, Entrepreneurship and Innovation Option

The primary objective of the strategy, entrepreneurship and innovation option is to train doctoral students for careers as professors at high-quality research-oriented universities. This training includes providing you with a program of coursework that prepares you to conduct quality research in strategy and entrepreneurship as well as management and marketing This program involves you in faculty-sponsored research projects as co-investigators and co-authors, and assimilates you into all aspects of academics related to innovation and commercialization (e.g., teaching, research, and service).
