Event Details

The Third Annual OSU Business Analytics Symposium focuses on the ethics aspect of business analytics. Be inspired by keynote speaker Lutz Beck, and then continue your day "building your own symposium" by attending break-out sessions that are most relevant to you and your organizations needs.

Analytics gives organizations superpowers to understand customers, employees and business processes in a way that has never existed before. Now, with great power comes great responsibility. How should we manage the power that data gives to us?

Through sharing best practices, this symposium helps participants to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of their existing analytics solutions and to better plan their future analytics strategies.

Symposium Speakers

Keynote Speaker: Lutz Beck

CIO, Daimler Truck North America

Lutz Beck has been with Daimler Truck for more than 17 years, starting as an IT manager and serving in various roles throughout his tenure, including executive director of IT management and chief information officer of Daimler Truck Asia. He currently serves as chief information officer of Daimler Truck North America.

Throughout his time at Daimler, Beck has made great strides to develop a culture that uses data as a key asset to improve efficiency in operations, bolster decision making and create better experiences for customers and dealers. Likewise, Beck has helped ensure that Daimler meets the challenges that come with using an increasing wealth of data - from customers’ privacy concerns to government compliance.
