Creating engaging experiences from a distance

Bringing real-world experiences to students across the globe is a passion that drives Todd Montgomery’s online course development. The College of Business instructor builds videos on hospitality management topics ranging from vacation property management to online marketing and reputation management. “Even if I was face-to-face teaching, I still couldn’t take them with me to Europe,” says Montgomery, regarding his reliance on videos to engage his online learners of hospitality management.

Enjoying Bend’s natural beauty and booming hospitality industry

A day in the life of a hospitality management student includes skiing in the morning, class during the day, interning in Bend's thriving hospitality industry, and studying before bed. Produced by an OSU-Cascades student.

My favorite part of the degree is the technology aspect, like the 3D food printer and the virtual reality training.
