Meet with Advising

How to Find My Advisor

All students enrolled in a College of Business (COB) major are assigned a specific advisor. Please see your assigned advisor regularly; we recommend communicating once per term. To find your assigned primary advisor:

  • Go to Beaver Hub.
  • Click the Success Team tab. Your assigned primary advisor will be listed there.
  • Click on their profile to schedule an appointment or read more about how to reach them.
  • Use the Appointments tab in Beaver Hub to view, cancel, or reschedule your upcoming appointments

The following students can meet with any COB advisor and should look at multiple advisors' availability prior to scheduling.  Please find an advisor associated with your campus.  The Advising Team page will specify whether an advisor meets with Corvallis campus, Ecampus, or Cascades campus students.

  • Current OSU students interested in changing your major to the COB.
  • Students enrolled or interested in a COB minor or certificate who are not in a COB major.
  • Students not enrolled in a COB program but requesting access to a College of Business class. (This can be done through a drop-in.)

Drop-in Advising

Drop-in appointments are available both in person or over Zoom throughout the term.  Drop-ins are typically 10 minutes long and primarily help with urgent registration issues or immediate concerns.  Drop-ins are for quick questions and are not to be used for long term degree/grad planning, intensive GPA calculations, etc. If you have a registration hold on your account, we cannot remove that hold during drop-ins but can help you figure out next-steps.

Note: hours listed are subject to change or cancellation due to holidays/advisor availability.

Corvallis-Based Students Only:

Advisors are available on a drop-in basis during Weeks 0-1 & Weeks 7-11 (Week 0: beginning on Tuesday, September 24).

Your advisor hosts a weekly office hour in weeks 2-6. Check their profile under the Success Team tab in Beaver Hub to locate and drop into their open office hour.

New Students

Corvallis Campus

Please complete OSU's orientation (known as START).  During orientation, you will have the opportunity to meet with an advisor and register for your first term of classes.  To find out more about START, visit the Office of Student Orientation.

Ecampus

If you want to earn your business degree online with Ecampus, we have dedicated advisors to help you with the questions unique to your experience. But first we ask that you complete these steps for getting started.

Once you complete the application and orientation steps, you'll be contacted by one of our specialized College of Business advisors who will help you prepare for the academic term. They will provide instructions on setting up an initial advising appointment to welcome you to the College of Business and plan registration. Please plan on a 50-minute initial meeting.
