The goal: To illustrate how research can be the catalyst for organizations who want to do more — and better — with their data. Day 1: Boot Camp

The Basics, the Application and the Extension of ChatGPT

12 – 4 p.m.

Learn how to integrate AI programs into the design of your daily operations and long-term planning with College of Business academic experts. The Boot Camp will cover:

  • A business and technical overview of ChatGPT
  • How to use ChatGPT for writing, coding and analysis
  • How to create your own ChatGPT using existing online models
  • At the end of the four-hour training, you will have a conceptual understanding of:
    • How ChatGPT was created
    • How to apply ChatGPT to your daily tasks
    • How to provide a personalized ChatGPT experience for your clients and customers

This course is certified for 4 hours of Continuing Education contact hours through the Oregon State University College of Business. Attendees will receive a certificate at the end of the course.

 

 

Thursday, October 5

Day 2: Keynote and Panel Sessions

Artificial Intelligence and its Growing Impact on Business Strategies, Operations and the Workforce

9 a.m. – 4 p.m.

This year’s conference will focus on AI trends, forthcoming technical breakthroughs, innovative ways of applying AI, and implications and opportunities for business. Our panel sessions will feature industry experts as well as faculty from the College of Business, College of Engineering and College of Liberal Arts.

Our goal is to provide a platform that stimulates the discussion on what changes and opportunities AI may bring and how organizations can be ready for them.

Portland International Airport (PDX) is 9 miles from the Marriott. The Marriott is served by the Portland MAX Light Rail, and Uber and Lyft are also prevalent in the area.

Please note: The Portland Marriott Downtown Waterfront does not provide a shuttle from the airport to the hotel. Participants will need to secure their own airport transfers.
