Targeted Education

This workshop series will jump start the transfer of your farm management to the next generation or other successor. Transferring management is the first step toward retirement for the current farm owners. it is also the first step toward transitioning ownership of the farm to the next generation. Our curriculum will help you:

» Focus on the future of your farm
» Structure dialogue between generations
» Recognize potential challenges in transferring the farm management
» Determine a realistic timeline for farm transfer
» Identify skills and experience needed for development in next generation leaders
» Improve family confidence in making changes
» Understand income needs and potential sources for owner retirement
» Understand business structures that support gifting and farm purchase for the next generation
» Determine a realistic timeline for farm transfer
» Prepare for professional advisor meetings
