Why I Chose OSU
"I chose the Oregon State MBA for the quality of education, the experiences, and networking and connection to community. I like the option of the in-person classes in Corvallis, the connection with my peers and living close to campus. What I've found important, and achievable, through my HR management studies is a strong work-life balance, the ability to prioritize healthy habits and routines with graduate-level school work, and finding great places to get out in nature around Corvallis."

Nicte Chandler’s MBA studies led to a new job as a senior human resources business partner at Amazon and additional leadership recognition as the affinity group president of Latinos at Amazon and involvement with the Women at Amazon group. Working and studying HR management through the global pandemic, Chandler’s research was far beyond classroom simulation and workplace decision-making; she was fully immersed in keeping essential workers safe while continuing business operations. Chandler is a recipient of the JD Power Fellowship, which supports women in leadership.
“The Oregon State MBA has offered networking opportunities with fellow female leaders, financial suppoort towards my education as well as continued professional development and inspiration to continue working hard to achieve my goals. I am empowered and committed to helping women and underrepresented minorities gain access to leadership roles to continue driving change," she said.
