How to Compare Business Schools

The college search process is full of questions: some questions you know, and some you don’t. If you're interested in a business degree, finding the right fit is critical. When comparing different programs, here are some things to consider:

1) What is the first-year experience like?
Starting business school is an important time for exploration. When considering different colleges, ask what opportunities are available for new students to get hands-on business experience. Also consider how much you'll get to interact with your peers and faculty. It’s important to feel engaged and excited about what you learn from the beginning.

2) What majors are available?
Business and design are broad fields with lots of options available. The College of Business offers majors in finance, marketing, apparel design and everything in between. Compare the different options available for each school, and check the accreditation for each program. Don't forget to check out the available minors and options, too!

3) What career development opportunities are available for students?
It's important to establish a strong network by connecting with industry professionals, alumni and faculty. Ask about what professional development opportunities are available, both on and off campus. Taking the time to network, engage and meet with future employers will build your career prospects
