Judy Finn joined OSU in 2013 and the College of Business in 2016 as part of the college's Marketing & Communications team. For the college, she writes stories that communicate our successes and strategic goals.
Her career as a professional marketer and writer began almost three decades ago in Budapest, Hungary, owning a business that produced content, primarily in English, but also in multiple languages (Hungarian, Russian, German) as well as formats (newspaper, glossy, websites and radio).
Professional highlights include writing for Lonely Planet travel guides, producing political and cultural radio documentaries for Deutsche Welle Radio, analyzing environmental data for business publication, Enviromental Leader, and contributing to "Collateral Damage: Global Crash Phase Two," a book about the 2007 recession.
Throughout her career as writer, Judy has pursued politically and culturally complex news stories. These ranged from EU and NATO expansion, to environmental awareness in the post-Soviet industrial era and today's corporate sustainability to the socially diverse topics of this era.
She has experience as a communicator and a collaborator, with expertise in content development, writing and design, digital and print collateral, project management and strategy development combined with extensive international exposure.
She is fascinated by the communications revolution that has moved us all from printed pages to 280-character tweets.
