Introduction to

LGBTQIA+ Inclusion in the workplace

A 20-minute self-paced training

Course Summary

LGBTQIA+ people have always been part of our communities and workplaces; only recently have more LGBTQIA+ people felt safe enough to live and love openly. In spite of cultural and legislative progress, LGBTQIA+ members and colleagues still face bias, frequent harassment in daily life, and discrimination. Organizations that promote diversity, equity and inclusion must be clear that people of all sexual and gender identities, orientations and expressions are valued and welcome.

This short, self-paced training is directed at people in every type of role and at every level of their organization. The introductory training covers key terms and definitions, a brief overview of current disparities faced by LGBTQIA+ communities, and practical tips for creating a workplace where people of all gender and sexual identities and expressions can feel welcome and understood. The course takes approximately 20 minutes to complete.
