Accounting Information Systems

Prepare for careers targeted to the growing impact of "Big Data." The accounting information systems area of focus allows you to gain specialized knowledge of information management or information systems auditing fields.

Accounting information systems builds upon the business, accounting and computer classes required of all accounting students and prepares students specifically to apply information technologies to accounting, auditing and other business tasks.

This area of focus includes the coursework of the accounting major.

The option in accounting information systems is available to accounting majors in Corvallis.

The Center of Business Analytics in the College of Business at Oregon State University serves as a platform connecting business organizations, professionals, students, and faculty to educate and to exchange ideas on gaining competitive advantages from data.

Working with its corporate sponsors, the Center of Business Analytics accomplishes its goals through corporate sponsored projects, community training, symposia, and sponsored faculty research, focusing on applying analytics technology such as data/text mining, data visualization/exploration, predictive modeling, and optimization to identify opportunities and to provide solutions.
